The Wilson bit features two inner rings for the cheekpieces and two outer rings for the reins. When the reins are engaged, the outer rings create cheek pressure which encourages the horse to come up off of the forehand. The single joint creates focused contact with a direct action on the tongue. The rubber mouthpiece gives a softer feel and smoother contact in the horse's mouth.
