Friesians were named after their home, the Dutch Friesland, and are one of the oldest horse breeds in Europe. They have a characteristic black coloured coat, a magnificent mane and a pretty tail. Another feature of Friesians is the long hair on their legs. The Friesian mare by Schleich® Horse Club has elaborate braiding on her fetlock, which makes her a unique collector's item.
