Shaped like a D, the King Dee’s flat side provides slight lateral guiding while also helping to prevent the bit from being pulled through the horse’s mouth. King Dees are most popular in the hunter ring but can be seen in racing, eventing or dressage. The center of the mouthpiece features a mullen mouthpiece – an unjointed bit that is slightly curved to accommodate the horses tongue. The mullen mouthpiece is a mild bit that encourages the horse to raise its poll. Complete with a unique Apple scent and an age polymer mouthpiece to offer a gentle alternative for a happier horse.
