The year was 2018, and the scene was the Hambletonian – one of harness racing’s biggest events. Standardbred mare Atlanta became the first filly in 22 years to win and clinch the $1 million purse! In honor of this achievement, she received the Dan Patch Award for Trotter of the Year in 2018. At 2021’s Allerage Farms Open Mare Trot at the Red Mile, Atlanta’s incredible 1:49 win with driver Yannick Gingras earned her another title: history’s co-fastest female trotter! Retired in 2022 as the 4th richest female trotter with $3.5 million in earnings, she’s now raising the next generation of racing superstars.
