Inventory Coordinator

Full-Time | Day Shift | Greenhawk Home Office – Mississauga, Ontario Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year

Greenhawk is currently seeking a full-time Inventory Coordinator to join our team at our Home Office in Mississauga, Ontario.

This position plays an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory across Greenhawk’s Distribution Centre, retail stores, and e-commerce operations. The Inventory Coordinator will work with inventory information and physical product to identify and resolve discrepancies, coordinate cycle counts, manage expiry-related processes, and help ensure customer and store orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with inventory data, and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities in both an office and warehouse environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are important for success in this role.

Experience in an inventory or warehouse environment is required. Knowledge of equestrian products is considered an asset but is not necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help maintain the ongoing accuracy and integrity of inventory across the Distribution Centre, retail stores, and e-commerce operations through regular inventory analysis, review, and adjustment.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with appropriate team members to identify and correct inventory issues.
  • Coordinate and lead Greenhawk’s expiry date management process for the Distribution Centre and retail store network, including identifying products requiring review and following up on required actions.
  • Create, distribute, and track daily cycle counts for the Distribution Centre and stores to support ongoing inventory accuracy.
  • Perform physical cycle counts within the Distribution Centre and reconcile results against system inventory.
  • Review cycle count results, investigate variances, and ensure required inventory corrections are completed accurately.
  • Perform quality checks on inventory as required, identifying damaged, defective, or otherwise unsaleable merchandise and ensuring it is handled appropriately.
  • Review and process retail store and e-commerce customer orders, helping to ensure orders are filled accurately and within required timelines.
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of inventory issues affecting order fulfillment.
  • Work with warehouse and other Home Office teams to support inventory movement, accuracy, and availability.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to inventory counts, adjustments, damaged goods, expiry dates, and other inventory activities.
  • Identify recurring inventory discrepancies or process issues and bring them to the attention of the appropriate team members.
  • Assist with physical inventories and other inventory control initiatives as required.
  • Provide general support for other inventory, Distribution Centre, and warehouse-related functions as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in an inventory or warehouse environment is considered an asset and will be given preference; however, it is not required. Candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for working with data and inventory processes are encouraged to apply.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to review and work with inventory reports, spreadsheets, and system-generated information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate discrepancies to determine their cause.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable performing a combination of computer-based administrative work and hands-on warehouse activities.
  • Ability to follow established processes while recognizing and communicating situations that require further investigation.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of equestrian products or the equestrian industry is an asset but is not required.
